Letter #1

Dear one,

You were such a good baby.

You were my little girl.

I dressed you in pink and frills and bows and those little white socks with lace.

You were a happy baby.

You didn't cry very often and I loved your chubby cheeks.

I loved carrying you in my arms and snuggling with you when you were sleeping.

They told us we weren't supposed to hold our babies when they were sleeping, but I did anyway.

I could just hold you and look at you and feel soft love for you.

I wish it could have been just me and you forever, with our sunny days and quiet afternoons.

You made me very happy.

I sang you songs and held you on my lap and helped you learn how to walk.

I was so proud as I watched you grow.

I will never forget those days with you.
